What If I’ve Had a Negative Experience?
We understand that it can be difficult to follow the guidelines above when you’ve had a bad experience with a product or company. In cases where you’ve had a bad experience, Popular Peepers typically judges your review based on its relevancy.
Here’s how we define the relevancy of your submitted reviews:
— Is your review truthful and based on facts?
— Reviews and Comments should demonstrate value for our readers and offer practical, useful knowledge to potential customers
— Reviews and Comments should share in-depth opinions backed by evidence or personal experience
— Reviews and Comments should provide advice about the product or service to our readers and potential customers
— Reviews and Comments should ask topic-related questions to engage other readers in discussions about the review, product, or service
Does Popular Peepers Ever Remove Reviews?
It’s rare for us to remove a review. Here at Popular Peepers, we typically keep our reviews because we respect all opinions – good or bad – about the products and services that we allow onto our site.
However, a review may be removed if it violates some of the policies listed above. For example, we will almost certainly remove a review if it’s filled with hate speech and profanity. Popular Peepers will also remove a review if it has been found to be untrue, plagiarized, or provides no relevant information on the concerned topic.
In certain cases, we also modify existing reviews. This only occurs if there was a negative review of a product, servie, or opportunity and the original reviewer that had a negative experience contacts us saying that their problem was solved – either by the company or on their own.
Though we don't like to remove our reviews, Popular Peepers always reserves the right to remove a review from our website – especially if that review has been found to be fraudulent.
Does Popular Peepers Screen Every Review and Comment?
Yes we do! Popular Peepers has a team of moderators dedicated to manually sifting through each review and every comment submitted to the site. This is one of the key concepts behind Popular Peepers; a community where only the highest-quality reviews are published.
Our staff members proofread all comments and reviews. In some circumstances, our staff will edit a review – but only to replace a profane word, phrase, or comment with a more family-friendly version. At no point will Popular Peepers ever change the opinion that the reviewer was trying to express, or any other key characteristics of the review.
Why Won't Some Reviews and Comments Be Published?
Some reviews and comments won't be published on PopularPeepers.com. We won't publish reviews if they don’t comply with our review guidelines. If your review or comment wasn't published, it may be unethical, fraudulent, inflammatory in nature, or just not relevant. If you submitted a review that wasn't published and would like to know why, feel free to contact us and we will do our best to solve any problems and answer any questions.
Popular Peepers appreciates both positive and negative reviews and comments that come through our website. As long as they comply with our guidelines, they typically will be published.
Below, you’ll find a few of the reasons why some comments and reviews won't be published:
1) You cannot submit a review for a product, service, or opportunity that you've never used.
Popular Peepers requires our readers to have personally used a product, service, or opportunity before they submit a review. This may seem like a basic well understood concept, but surprisingly many people try to leave reviews for things they haven't ever used. We won't publish a review if we suspect the reviewer has not actually used the product or company in question. Not all of the reviews that we reject are submitted with fraudulent intent; in many cases, a consumer simply submits a comment or review expressing gratitude to the other reviews on the page for helping them make an informed decision. Although we are grateful for the appreciation and feedback, we typically will not publish reviews that fit that description.
One of the most important parts of our review submission system is a small checkmark section at the bottom of each review submission form. The checkmark certifies that the reviewer has actually purchased the product or service and is not an employee of the respective company.
2) The review or comment is irrelevant.
At Popular Peepers, we get plenty of irrelevant comments and reviews. Sometimes, these are just spam comments submitted by automated online scripts or spammers. In other cases, somebody is attacking a review or reviewer on the product page. Finally, there are some reviews and comments that are nothing but complete nonsense.
We disregard these reviews and will not publish them. If Popular Peepers cannot identify the point of the submitted review or comment, then it’s usually deleted. However, we promise to work to identify the point of your comment or review – that way, even if you aren't the most eloquent writer, your review still may be published.
Other reviews considered irrelevant are reviews that are designed as a self promotion technique for your own business, product, service, or opportinuty.
3) Companies or employees are posing as legitimate consumers.
An unfortunate part of doing business online is that many reviews are posted fraudulently as a self promotion technique by many companies and paid affiliates. A single negative review on Popular Peepers can have a severe impact on the reputation and customer base of a company, so it’s understandable that some companies try so hard to remove, change, and submit false reviews written by employees praising their product. If the review is overly positive (to a ridiculous extent) and appears to be fraudulent, Popular Peepers may remove it.
What Can I Do If My Company or Product Receives a Bad Review?
Popular Peepers has a general contact email at popularpeepers@gmail.com. You can email us if you believe that a review of your product, service, or opportunity has been negatively exaggerated, untruthful, or fraudulent.
However, we maintain that if you offer a legitimately good product or service, a negative review will not hurt your company’s reputation because that review will be drowned out by many more positive reviews.
